Brooks-Elizabeth Billings & Kay Graves...
Artists Brooks-Elizabeth Billings and Kay Graves are a dynamic mother daughter team. The pair are co painters who host Dueling Artist paint parties. Kay is a recently retired veteran K-12 art educator.
Kay has taught for 25 years.
In Her spare time Kay has been working towards finishing her personal written and illustrated book. She aspires to have her book published to help children cope with catastrophic events. Kay has also been a part of S.E.K art festival events and looks forward to future projects.
Brooks-Elizabeth also has participated in the S.E.K Art Festival annually in some forms. She is also a member of the local creative group (Joplin Limners) and is currently an active member of J.R.A.C (Joplin Regional Artist Coalition).
Brooks-Elizabeth taught for ten years at Martin Luther School. The last five years she worked towards her degree and graduated May 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education. She is excited to start her new journey this fall at Miami Oklahoma as the new Nichols Upper Elementary Art Educator.
